Lithuania Producer Prices Fall for 4th Month
Producer prices in Lithuania dropped 3.4 percent year-on-year in September 2019, the same pace as in the previous month. This was the fourth consecutive decline in producer prices, remaining the steepest drop since August 2016, as cost fell further for both electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-6.9 percent vs -5.1 percent in August) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-7.0 percent vs -5.0 percent). Also, prices of mining and quarrying slowed (0.6 percent vs 2.1 percent). Meanwhile, cost went down less for manufacturing (-3.1 percent vs -3.3 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.5 percent, rebounding from a downwardly revised 1.3 percent decrease in the prior month.

Lithuania Producer Prices Fall for 3rd Month
Producer prices in Lithuania fell 3.5 percent year-on-year in August 2019, after a downwardly revised 1.5 percent drop in the previous month. This was the third straight month of decline in producer prices, as cost continued to fall for manufacturing (-3.5 percent vs -1.5 percent in July) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-5.3 percent vs -2.1 percent). Meanwhile, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities dropped at a softer pace (-5.0 percent vs -7.0 percent) while mining and quarrying cost went up faster (2.1 percent vs 1.1 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 1.4 percent, following a 0.3 percent rise in June.

Lithuania Producer Prices Fall the Most Since 2016
Producer prices in Lithuania fell 1.6 percent year-on-year in July 2019, after a 0.8 percent drop in the previous month. This was the second straight month of decline in producer prices and the steepest fall since August 2016, as cost fell more than a month earlier for: manufacturing (-1.5 percent vs -0.8 percent in June); electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-2.9 percent vs -1.9 percent), and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-7.0 percent vs -6.1 percent). By contrast, cost of mining and quarrying went up faster (1.1 percent vs 1.0 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 0.3 percent, following a 2.8 percent fall in June.

Lithuania Producer Prices Fall for 1st Time Since 2016
Producer prices in Lithuania fell 0.8 percent year-on-year in June 2019, reversing from a downwardly revised 2.6 percent rise in the previous month. This was the first decline in producer prices since September 2016, as cost fell for both manufacturing (-0.8 percent vs 2.8 percent in May) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-1.8 percent vs 0.1 percent) while those of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities dropped faster (-6.1 percent vs -5.7 percent). In addition, cost of mining and quarrying went up softer (1.0 percent vs 2.2 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased 2.8 percent, following a downwardly revised 0.8 percent rise in May.

Lithuania Producer Inflation at 4-Month Low
Lithuania's annual producer inflation fell to a four-month low of 2.7 percent in May 2019 from an upwardly revised 4.0 percent in the previous month, as cost of manufacturing increased at a softer pace (2.9 percent vs 4.4 percent in April) while prices fell for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-5.7 percent vs -4.5 percent) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-0.3 percent vs 0.8 percent). Meanwhile, cost of mining and quarrying went up faster (2.2 percent vs 1.1 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 0.9 percent, following an upwardly revised 2.2 percent rise in April.

Lithuania Producer Inflation at 5-Month High of 3.9%
Lithuania's annual producer inflation rose to 3.9 percent in April 2019 from an upwardly revised 3.8 percent in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation rate since November last year, as cost of manufacturing increased faster (4.3 percent vs 3.8 percent in March). Meanwhile, cost of mining and quarrying went up softer (1.0 percent vs 3.1 percent). In addition, cost of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities fell less (-4.5 percent vs -4.6 percent). On the other hand, cost of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply declined (-1.1 percent vs 4.3 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 2.0 percent, following an upwardly revised 0.8 percent rise in March.
